Purity with respect to oil contamination as defined in ISO8573 Standard “Compressed Air – Part 1 Contaminants and purity classes” is attained using coalescing style filters to remove lubricant drops, droplets, and aerosol size contamination to achieve allowable concentrations of lubricant for various defined purity levels.
